| Archipelago | a large group or chain of islands |
| Bog | wet, spongy ground with soil composed mainly of decayed vegetable oil |
| Delta | a nearly flat plain of alluvial deposit between diverging branches of the mouth of the river often, though not necessarily, triangular |
| Fjord | a long narrow arm of the sea boarded by a steep clif |
| Flood Plain | a low plain adjacent to a river that is formal chiefly of river sediment and is subject to floating |
| Glacier | slow movung mass or river of ice formedby accumilation and compactionof show on mountains near the poles |
| Island | a piece of land surrounded by water |
| Isthmus | a narrow strip of land with sea on either side forming a link between two larger areas of land |
| Peninsula | a piece of land surrounded by watter or projectiong out into a body of watter |
| Plain | a large area of level, nearly level land |
| Plateau | an area negatively level high ground |
| Rifts | a crack split or break in something |
| Strait | a narrow passage of water connecting two seas |
| Tributary | a river or stream flowing into a larger river or lake |
