map title Tells you what is shown on the map.
map key Tells you what the colors, pictures, and lines on the map mean.
compass rose Shows the 4 main directions on a map. Some will even show the directions that fall between the main ones.
community A place where people live, work, and play together.
law A rule that tells people how to behave in their communities.
citizen An official member of a community, state, or country.
population The number of people who live in an area.
urban area City land and spaces.
suburb A community next to or close to a city.
rural area Far from a city - lots of open space and farms.
