Monarchy A government in which the power is usually inherited by a King or Queen
Direct Democracy A government in which the people have complete control and vote on everything
Oligarchy A government in which the power is in the hands of a few people
Anarchy Absence of government/no laws
Dictatorship A government in which one person has absolute control and usually takes over by force
Representative Government A government in which the people elect leaders to make decisions on their behalf
Theocracy A government ruled by religious law
