Shia | A division of Islam, carried out mainly in Iran that believes in the Prophet Ali as the true successor of Muhammad. |
Sunni | One of the two main branches of Islam that accepts the first four caliphs as successors of Muhammad, rather than Ali as the Shia believes. |
Islam | A monotheistic religion that originated with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. The revelatory scripture is known as the Qur'an |
Pentecostal | A form of Christianity that emphasizes the work of the Holy Spirit and the direct presence of God. |
NRM | New Religious Movement that is a religious community or ethical, spiritual or philosophical group of modern origins which has a peripheral place within it's nations dominant religious culture |
Catholic | A member or follower of the Roman Catholic Church, with broad or wide ranging tastes |
