Earth science stuff

TermDefinition
Crust The outermost layer of the Earth.
Lithosphere The outermost rigid layer.
Asthenosphere Plastic layer where tectonic plates float
Mantle The thickest layer of the Earth.
Mesosphere Liquid like lower mantle with convection.
Outer Core A liquid layer of Earth surrounding the solid inner core.
Inner Core Makes up the very center of the Earth.
Continental Crust Less dense than oceanic crust.
