Declaration of Independents and The War Of Indenpendents

| Independence | Means freedom from being ruled by someone else. |
| Declaration | Is a statement that declares, or announces and idea. |
| Rights | are freedoms that are protected by a government's laws. |
| Treason | is the crime of fighting against one's own governments. |
| Loyalist | Was someone who was still loyal to the King. |
| Neutral | Not to take sides. |
| Inflation | A rise in prices of goods is called Inflation. |
| Thomas Jefferson | Was the third president of the United States of America. |
| Thomas Paine | In his pamphlet Common Sense, Paine argued that the only choice that made sense was to separate from Britain. |
| Joseph Brant | In 1775, Brant went to Britain and met King George 111. Later, Brant and the Mohawk nation sided with the British. |
| James Armistead | A Patriot hero, Armistead spied on the British army. He provided information that helped Patriots win an important battle. |
| Phillis Wheatley | Her poems praised Washington and were popular in the colonies. |
| Strategy | A strategy is a plan of action. |
| Traitor | A traitor is someone who is not loyal. |
| Surrender | To surrender means to give up. |
