Enocomiendia System it gave settlers the right to tax local native Americans or to make them work. In exchange these settlers were suppose to protect the Native Americans and convert them into Christianity.
Bartolome de Las Casas Believed that the American Indians were perfect. he respected them and was fascinated by culture. He cared for these Indians and thought of them as people unlike this fellow Europeans.
