linking verb a verb that connects the subject of a sentence with a noun or an adjetive in the predicate
transitive verb a verb that has a direct object
intransitive verb a verb that does not have a direct object
helping verb a verb that is combined with the main part to tell about an action
present it is happening right now.
past it already happened.
future it will happen.
past progressive a verb that names an action or condition that contiued for some time in the past.
past perfect a verb that names an action that happened before another action or event in the past.
present progressove a verb that names an action or condition that is continuing in the past.
present perfect a verb that names an action that happened at an indefinite time in the past. It also tells about an action that happened in the past and is still happening now.
