Love Canal 1970s In NY the people got blood diseases, nerve damage, birth defects, and cancer because they lived on a toxic waste dump of decades.
Bhopal, India 1984 The chemical plant released deadly chemicals that killed 3800 people and injured 100000 people
Chernobyl 1986 A nuclear plant at Chernobyl released radioactive waste that kill hundreds and negatively effected the survives and the environment
Valdez oil spill 1989 11 million gallons of oil into Prince William's Sound and disrupted the food chain there and killed and endangered the lives of the people and animals there.
