Works Progress Administration (WPA) Government spent over $11 Billion on highways, roads, parks, airports, etc., employing over 8.5 million
Social Security Act Included monthly retirement benefits at age 65 and unemployment insurance while looking for a new job
Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA) Paid farmers NOT to raise crops to stop overproduction and raise crop prices
Farm Credit Administration (FCA) helped millions of farmers refinance their land payments
Civil Works Administration (CWA) Govt. directly hired unemployed to build roads, schools, parks, etc. Over 4 million employed
