Why were farmers losing money during the 1920's ? Farmers were losing money because WWI ended in 1918 and they no longer needed our farmer's food. Farmers were losing money, so they made more food. When they made more food the value of the food went down and they lost money.
Why were farmers losing money during the 1930's? Farmers were losing money because of the Dust Bowl. They could no longer grow food because of the dust storms. About 2.5 million people headed to California and other Pacific coast states. They heard that California farms needed workers.
