What was the progressive Movement? The period which sought to reform society by fixing all the social problems caused by the industrial revolution and end the unequal distribution of wealth
Why was the middle class angry? Poor working conditions, living in filth, and low wages
What were the four goals of the progressive movement? Protect social welfare, promote moral improvement,create economic reform, and political corruption
Protect Social Welfare Get Rid of the conditions in society that make life hard and create an even distribution of wealth
Promote Moral Improvement Don't allow society to get any worse
Create Economic Reform help make business better for the people
Political Corruption give power to the people
What was the purpose of Muckrakers? make people aware of the bad in society and urge them to change it
