What led to the French and Indian War? Conflict (Rivalry) between France & Britain over territory in North Am; British fears of the relationship between the French &Native Americans
How was the Albany Plan of Union meant to assist the colonists in that war? The Albany Plan of Union was intended to assist the colonist in the French & Indian War by creating an alliance with the powerful Iroquois and by fostering a greater unity among British colonies.
What are Militia? Militia are Armed Citizens who served as soldiers during an Emergency.
What is a Prime Minister? A Prime Minister is the highest official of a parliamentary government
Describe the Siege of Quebec in (1759)? The Siege of Quebec was when British troops led by General James Wolfe carried out a daring and strategic siege of Quebec. Wolfe's forces inflicted heavy losses on the French, forcing the French to surrender the city.
What was the Treaty of Paris (1763)? This was the Treaty that ended the French and Indian War
Why was the Treaty of Paris significant? As a result of this treaty, France turned Canada over to the British & surrendered its claim to all lands east of the Mississippi River. New Orleans became a Spanish Possession. The British returned Cuba to Spain in exchange for Florida (a trade)
What is the best definition for the word"Siege"? A battle in which the enemy is surrounded and cut off on all sides
How did the French & Indian War weaken the colonists loyalty to Britian? The colonist lost respect for British military power & thought their military tactics to be weak. They also felt the British did not share the same values as Americans and that the British had not treated the colonists with respect.

#2 How and why did British policies in the colonies change after 1763? The French and Indian War left Great Britain in debt. Britian tightened controls over the colonies to increase tax revenues and the colonists revolted.
