what is a pure sudstance? matter that contains only one kind of particle.
what is a mixture? matter that contains tow or more pure substances mixed together.
what is a mechanical mixture/heterogeneous mixture? a mixture with different parts that you can see.

what does dissolve mean? to mix one type of matter into an other type of matter to make a new matter.
what is a solute? the smaller part of a solute into witch the solutes dissolve.
what does solvent mean? the larger part of a solution, the part of a solution into which the solutes dissolve.
what does dissolving mean? mixing completely with a solvent to form a solution.
why is water called the universal solvent? because it dissolves more substances than any other solvent.
what is a concentratated solution? a solution with a large amount of solute particals in a given volume of solution.
what is a dilute solution? a solution with a small amount of solute particals in a given volume of solution.
