political party a group of people who share similar views, who work together to elect a candidate
Democrat a person who is a member of one of the two policitcal parties having the greatest number of members- their symbol is a donkey
Republican a person who is a member of one of the two political parties having the greatest number of members - their symbol is an elephant
poll counting votes in an election, a place where citizens vote, or a survey of citizen's opinions
primary a state election for voters to choose presidential candidates for the major political parties
registration signing up to vote
representative an individual who makes decisions on behalf of others
vote making a choice or decision in an election
election the process of voting to choose a leader
debates public discussions between candidates with different views
