Who was Hernan Cortes? AZTEC; Hernan Cortes was a Spanish conquistador who sailed to Mexico in 1519 in search of gold. He conquered the Aztec empire and also destroyed Tenochtitlan.
Who was Francisco Pizarro INCAS; Pizarro was a bold Spanish conquistador who conquered the Incan empire in 1532
Where were the Spanish borderlands? From Florida to California
Who were the Peninsulares? Top social class; Born in Spain; they owned large tracks of land as well as rich gold and silver mines
Who were the Mextizos? They were below the creoles; People who were a mix of Spanish and Indian
Who were the Creoles? Below peninsularies; Born in the Americas to Spanish parents; wealthy and well-educated; owned farms and ranches.

What did French explorer Robert LaSalle settle? Louisana; He named the region of the Gulf of Mexico in Honor of his King.; Built the Detroit fort and the New Orleans fort.
What did French explorer Samuel Champlain settle? Samuel Champlain founded Port Royal; built a trading post known as Quebec.
