Unit 2 People of the Stone Age

What is the Paleolithic time period? (Old Stone Age)
What is the Mesolithic time period? (Middle Stone Age)
What is the Neolithic time period? (New Stone Age)
What are fossils? are remains of living things (plant, animals, and people.)
what are Artifacts? are remains of things that were made.
Anthropologist Study what? Study humans.
Archeologist study what? study sites, and Artifacts.
Paleontologist study what? study fossils.
Describe the life of Lucy and explain why she was important. Lucy was a scientist who study skeletons and bones. She was about 4 feet tall and weighing about 50 pounds. They believe she drowned in a lake or river.
Describe Catal Huyuk. A small place near Jericho full of houses and fields.
What are hunters and gathers? hunt and gathers. These people did not plant crops.
What are nomads? depend on wild plants and animals to survive. They followed where the food supply went and gathered seeds and nuts.
What is migration? is traveling from one place to another.
Describe the Mesolithic age? They had people that were taller and smarter than Lucy's people and they didn't know how to start fire.

What is Prehistory? Before History
What is the Neolithic period also as? Agricultural Revolution.
