Valley Forge Located in Pennsylvania. Was a American camp for Washington's troops in the winter of 1777.
Battle of Trenton Fought in New Jersey on December 26, 1776. Between Washington's troops and German Hessian's. American victory.
Battle of Yorktown Fought in Virginia in 1781, where French and American forces made the British surrender in October 19, 1781, British made peace.
What were the French encounters with the Native Americans? Came over as singlemen fur traders, priests, not to settle of farm with families. Spread Catholic religion. The intermarried with the Native Americans and there children were called Metis.
What were the Spanish encounters with the Native Americans? Lived among the Native AMericans. Wanted to impose their culture and Catholic religion. They intermarried with the Native Americans and there children were called Mestezo.
What were the English encounters with the Native Americans? Generally did not intermarry. Came as families to settle and farm. Fleeing because of the Puritan and Quaker religions.
Mercantilism why, how, whats was colonies role? Balance of Trade? Was created to make Britain and colonies self sufficient. They did this by obtaining as much gold and silver as possible.Colonies supplied British by making lumber, indigo, ships, rice, furs, and raw materials.
What is a restaurant in Detroit named after a explorer? Lafayette.
What did people in Canada call Native Americans? First Nations.
What are two Dutch named places in Canada? Harlem and Brooklyn.
