sympathy | to feel sorry for another |
ethnocentric | to have a viewpoint strongly influenced by your own culture or ethnicity; being unable to understand or appreciate the viewpoint of another culture |
prejudice | an uninformed judgment or opinion |
globalization | The mixing of economies and societies around the world |
socio-economic | a combination of the words “social” and “economic”; the phrase is used because social and economic issues are difficult to separate. |
cultural diffusion | the spread of cultural traits |
cultural fusion | the joining of cultural traits |
migration | the movement of people, often across cultural lines |
demographics | statistics that describe a certain population |
environment | Your surroundings, and how they influence your development |
