Name some famous delegates from the second continental congress from 1775. | Thomas Jefferson, who was at the time a young lawyer from Virginia,Boston merchant John Hancock, and (drum-roll pls) Benjamin Franklin. |
What did they decide in the meeting? | To form an army, they chose to elect George Washington to lead the Continental army. (from the French and Indian war, he had experience and was well liked.) They also printed paper money. |

Loyalists | Colonists who wanted to remain loyal to Britain and to the king. |
When did Patriots take control of local governments? | Between 1774-1775. |

What happened on May 10,1775? | The battle of Ticonderoga. |
Why was the battle of Ticonderoga important? | It controlled a water route or the water route to get to Canada, with the Hudson River Valley. Fort Ticonderoga also held many valuable weapons. |
Who was Israel Putnam? | Israel Putnam was the American commander, who said, "don't fire until you see the white's of their eyes," he said this because he knew they did not have enough ammunition to keep missing. |
What were the major achievements of the second continental congress? | -sending King George the Olive Branch Petition (and writing it) writing the Declarations of the causes and Necessities of Taking Up Arms. They created an army and made George Washington the leader. They also printed up money. |
