statement | a sentence that is either true or false |
self- supporting | a statement whose truth value can be determined from the statement itself |
tautology | a statement that is true by logical structure |
self-contradiction | statement that is false due to its logical structure |
supported | a statement whose truth value depends on evidence or information from outside itself |
consistent | they both can be true at the same time(2 statements) |
implication | the truth of one requires the truth of the other |
logically equivalent | they imply on another(2 statements) |
independent | the truth or falsity of one has no effect on the truth or falsity of the other(2 statements) |
real disagreement | an actual inconsistency between two statements they can not both be true at the same time |
verbal disagreement | a misunderstanding due to differing definitions for one or more words |
apparent disagreement | a difference in opinion or precepition |
