Common Law | the constitution of great britain is NOT a single document, but made up of the customs and decisions of law courts |
English Bill of Rights | 1689 british law passed by parliament and declared the rights and liberties of the people, and settled the succession of william and mary |
Feudalism | A system of social political and economic organization based on land. |
Petition of Rights | 1628 precondition to the king, granting any future taxes only with consent of the parliament |

Self Government | The idea that popular or representative system where people run their own government |
Limited Government | The power of government is limited by the constitution |
