American Citizen's Rights - Due Process | The government must follow procedures established by law and guaranteed by the Constitution. They must treat all people by these principles. |
American Citizen's Rights - Equal Protection | All people regardless of age, race religion, or beliefs are to be treated the same under the law. The 14th amendment require this of all states. |
American Citizen's Rights - Basic Freedoms | These are freedoms covered under the 1st amendment. The freedoms are : freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and the right to petition. |
American Citizen's Rights - Limits on Rights | The government can make laws or rules to protect the health, safety, security, and moral standards of a community. Rights can be limited so that one person's rights do not interfere with another person's rights. |
