tropical climate | warm year round extrends from equator- Tropic of Cancer & from equator to Tropic of Capricorn |
mid-latitiude climate | temperate climate extyend from 23 1/2 degrees north to 60 degrees north & from 23 1/2 degrees south to 60 degrees south |
prevailing wind | movements of air that travel around earth ina typical pattern |
El Nino | cause by combinations of temperature wind and water |
La Nina | eastern winds become strong and the opposite of El Nino occurs to Pacific Ocean gets cooler |
dry climate | dry to partially dry areas w/ little to no rain; temperatures can range from very cold to very hot |
typhoon | name for a hurricane in Asia |
tornado | funnel-shaped windstorm; sometimes forms during thunderstorms |
monsoon | seasonal wind that blows over a continent for a long period of time |
weather | unpredictable changes in air that take place in short periods of time |
