| What is a recovery plan? | A plan of what will be done in case of a disaster or needing to restore the backup

| What is a periodic backup? | A backup that happens at a set time

Differential backup - backing up all files changed since the full backup
Incremental backup - backing up all files changed since last backup, either full or incremental

| What is a remote or online backup? | Backup done to a remote server over the Internet

| What is mirroring? | Storing a database on multiple servers so if one fails the others can still be used without data loss (sometimes called RAID system)

| What type of backup is needed for large database systems and why? | Mirroring as they can't be taken offline for periodic backup and they can't afford to lose any data
