| binary coding system (ASCII) | a code consisting of various zeros and ones

| bit | a binary character that is the smallest piece of binary information

| byte | consists of eight bits and is represented by either one alphabetic or numeric character of information

| megabytes, gigabytes, kilobytes | measurements of how much can be stored in the computer memory

| processor speed | how quickly data moves in and out of the memory. Expressed in megahertz.

| peripheral devices | input information, produce information into a readable form for user, and/or store information for future reference.

| input devices | gives permission for computer to put data into the system

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
