Absolute Distance   A distance that can be measured using a standard unit of length.

Relative Distance   Distance is measured in terms of time or money.

Absolute Direction   The cardinal directions North, South, East, and West.

Relative Direction   "Go up the street and then take the next left followed by a quick right." This would be considered Relative Direction.

Clustered   Objects that are close together. A form of distribution.

Dispersed   Movement of individuals or things away from centers of high population density or the origin. A form of distribution.

Elevation   Distance above sea level.

Absolute Location   The exact location of an object or place.

Relative Location   A description of where a place is in relation to other places or features.

Site   This refers to a place's absolute location, as well as its physical characteristics, such as the landforms, climate, and resources. Where you are.

Situation   Refers to a place's location in relation to other places or its surrounding features. How you describe a place once you get there.

Space   An area between two or more things on Earth's surface.

Place   Location on Earth that is distinguished by its physical and human characteristics.

Distributed   The arrangement of a feature or data point within a given space. Look for patterns.

Pattern   Patterns that can be found in how things are arranged in a particular space.  
🗑
Density   The number of things in a specific area.  
🗑
Distance Decay   The principle that states that the farther away one thing is from another, the less interaction the two things will have.

Time-space compression   The process causing the relative distance (perceived distance) between places to shrink.
