What was the Industrial attitude to looking after the tower?   Medievalisation, rebuilding parts of castle to make it look original. Lose changes made by tower, corrupting the 'story' of the tower. Makes it look nice, attracting tourists

What was the Modern attitude to looking after the tower?   Opposite of Industrial. Preserve, don't replace. Keep Tower 'warts and all', to undersrand the story and development of the tower
