What Germany did with the International Law   Germany stopped following the rule and attacked any enemy ship around Great Britain. Lusitania sunk. Sparked war between Germany and Britain.

What was America doing?   After the Lusitania sunk, many Americans wanted war to help Great Britain. Woodrow Wilson wanted to remain neutral. Then the Zimmerman telegram came to Mexico. Wilson joined in 1917.

What did the Zimmerman telegram say?   Germany asked Mexico to enter the war on the side of Germany. And to attack the US. After they have won Mexico would get Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico back. Mexico said NO!

14 Points Plan   Plan for peace after WW1. This created League of Nations. Countries that agreed on the plan.

Treaty of Versailles   WW1 ended with armistice. Allied powers held meetings in Paris to write peace treaties to defeated nations. IMPORTANT:Germany signed in Versailles, France. France, Britain, and US wrote main parts in treaties. Germany not allowed. US did not join LON.
