How did Reconstruction affect the lives of African Americans?   Reconstruction allowed it allowed them to actually participate and or serve in political positions. Reconstruction enabled African Americans to finally become delegates.

What groups formed a Republican alliance in the South during Reconstruction?   Reconstruction supporters which consisted of mainly African Americans.

How did Congress respond to violence against African Americans?   Violence forced Congress to form the Enforcement Acts in order to control the violence.
