Who was Savonarola?   Spellbinding preacher of Dominican Order. Dedicated life to reforming corruption in church and society. Preached against Pope Alexander VI.

Who was Galileo?   Galileo Galilei born in Pisa, Italy in 1564. Interested in astronomy and physics. Made many discoveries including that the Earth revolves around the Sun.

Who was Artemisia Gentileschi?   Born in Naples in 1593. Achieved fame and independence through art. Made Judith slaying Holofernes- intense, illuminated light.

Who was Lorenzo the Magnificent?   Cosimo's grandson. Ruler of Florence from 1469-1492. Most famous Medici. Poet and musician. Son-Giovanni (Pope Leo X)

Who was Filippo Brunelleschi?   From Florentine. Discovered law of perspective. Allows artists to add depth to pictures. 3D.
