What did women begin doing in the 1920s?   Asserting their independence and doing the same things as men, they lived each day like it was their last.

What defined a flapper?   A rebellious and independent young woman. Flappers would cut their hair short, and dress in fashionable, revealing clothes.

What is a double standard?   A set of principles granting greater sexual freedom to men than women. casual dating was common, and double standards had women caught between the old ways and the new.

Why did men constantly argue that women should be working at home?   They were afraid women would take their jobs

What was home life like in the 1920s?   Women, instead of spending time cleaning and sewing and washing clothes, spent time with friends and their families
