Sioux uprising   in 1862 the Sioux launched a major uprising in Minnesota; agreed to live on reservation in exchange for annuities- got caught in legislations leaving them poor- Little Crow reluctantly lead an uprising

Battle of Little Big Horn   Sitting Bull led the fight against general George Custer 7th cavalry. The Sioux wanted miners out of the black hills, and had appealed to government officials in Washington to stop the miners. Washington doesn't listen. Custer's last stand.

Battle of Wounded Knee (1890)   US soldiers massacred 300 unarmed Native American in 1890. This ended the Indian War

Homestead Strike   1892 steelworker strike near Pittsburgh against the Carnegie Steel Company. Ten workers were killed in a riot when "scab" labor was brought in to force an end to the strike.
