Tuskegee Airmen   The first black American pilots. They won respect during their service in World War II.

Code Talkers   The name used for Native Americans who used their unwritten language to transmit codes about troop movements, battlefield tactics, and other important communications during World War II

Women's Army Corps (WAC)   American women who served in the army during World War II. They were the first women other than nurses to serve in the army.
