Site plan review | Site plan review is an analysis of maps, which display the locations and orientations of proposed buildings, and design elements, which show the appearance of the proposed development.

Design review | Design review is a systematic and detailed analysis of a proposed development to ensure that it conforms to existing design guidelines and safety regulations. The design review is documented, and is used to identify shortcomings in the design.

Visual preference survey | Assesses the quality of a dev based upon citizen evalus. Suvey participants are asked to look at different characteristics or urba ndev (streetscape, façades, architecture) and rate them based on appeal and appropriateness within the comm.

Housing Needs Assessment | Predicts the current housing needs within a comm based on its planned growth over a certain period of time. Examines housing costs for each income level, then determines whether or not the market is capable of providing housing at each level.

Questions when considering housing needs | Popular method for housing needs assessment is asking what a person looking for a living sit would ask: Should I rent or own? How much can I afford to pay in monthly rent or in purchasing and maintaining a new home? What is my preferred type of housing?
