Bill of Rights   The first 10 amendments which include freedom of speech, religion, right to bare arms, assembly.

Checks and Balances   The government is separated into 3 sections: Executive, Judicial, Legislative. This is to have controls on the different parts of government to assure their is no tyranny.

Judicial Branch   Consists of the Supreme Court and they decided weather a law is constitutional or not. They have checks over the Legislative ranch and Executive branch.

Executive Branch   Consists of executive agencies, President, his cabinet,and staff members working in white house.

Legislative branch   Consists of Congress and the Senate. They are incharge of passing legislation (laws/acts) for the people of the United States. They also have to approve the Presidents decision to go to war and check on the Executive branch.

Preamble   The introduction to the U.S. constitution to state the purpose of having a Constitution for the people of the people.

amendment   A change to a law or supervision to add to it. Must be voted on to be taken into place.
