| What is hue? | Refers to color |
| What are the primary colors? | Red, Yellow, Blue |
| What are the secondary colors? | Violet, green & orange |
| What are the tertiary colors? | red-voilet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, red-orange |
| What is a saturated color? | a color with no white or black (all colors on color wheel) |
| What three groups make up the color wheel? | Warm colors, Cool colors, Neutral colors. |
| What is a tint? | saturated color that is mixed with pure white |
| What is a shade? | saturated color that is mixed with pure black |
| What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? | Red, orange and yellow |
| What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? | Blue, green & violet |
| What are the five neutral colors? | Black, grey, white,brown, tan |
| What are the six types of color harmonies? | Monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic,split complementary, neutral |
| What is a monochromatic color harmony? | achieved by using tints and shade of only one color. ex. navy blue, bright blue, baby blue. |
| What is an analougus color harmony? | using three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. ex. red, red violet, violet |
| What is a complementary color harmony? | two colors directly across from one another on the color wheel ex. yellow & violet |
| What is a triadic color harmony? | three colors located within an equal distance from one another ex, red, blue yellow (bold colors) |
| What is a split complementary scheme? | created by using any color or the two colors located next to that colors compliment (directly across 7 split either side "y") ex. yellow, red-violet, blue-violet |
| What is a neutral color scheme? | combination of blacks greys whites browns and tans |
| What is accented neutral? | Mostly neutrals with one pop of color. (more color than neutral=monochramatic) |
| Different types of lighting colors can be perceived under? | Florescent, incandescent, natural (fin) |
