what 3 groups make up the color wheel? primary colors, secondary colors, tertiary colors
what is a tint? a saturated color mixed with a pure white color
what is a shade? a saturated color mixed with a pure black color
what are the 3 colors that are considered warm colors? red, orange, yellow
What are the 3 colors that considered to be cool colors? violet, blue, green
what are the 5 neutral colors? grey, tan, black, brown, white
What are the 6 types of color harmonies? monochromatic, analogous, complementary,triadic,split complimentary scheme,neutral color scheme
what is the monochromatic color harmony? many shades of one color ex: navy blue, dark blue light blue,sky blue
what is the analogous color harmony? 3 colors right next to each other on the color wheel
what is the complementary color harmony? 2 colors right across from eachother
what is a triadic color harmony? 3 colors that make a triangle on the color wheel, primary colors, secondary colors, tertiary colors
what is a split complementary scheme? 3 colors, red, yellow-green,blue-green
what is a neutral color scheme? any combinations of blacks, white, tans, or greys
