How do you perceive white? When you see every color at once
How do you perceive black? No light
What is hue? Hue is color itself
What are the primary colors? Red, yellow, blue
What are the secondary colors? Violet, orange, green
What are the tertiary colors? Red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, red-orange
What is a saturated color? A color that contains no white or black
What three groups make up the color wheel? Primary colors, secondary colors, tertiary colors
What is a tint? A tint is a saturated color that is mixed with pure white color
What is a shade? A shade is a saturated color that is mixed with a pure black
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? Red, orange, yellow
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? Blue, green, violet
What are the five neutral colors? Black, white, grey, tan, brown
What are the sic types of color harmonies? Monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, split complementary, neutral
What is a monochromatic color harmony? They are achieved by using tints and shades of only one color
What is an analogous color harmony? Done by using three or more colors that are next to each other
What us a complementary color harmony? Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel
What is a triadic harmony? Three colors that are located within equal distance from each other
What is a split complementary scheme? Created by using any color and the two colors located next to that colors complement
What is a neutral color scheme? Any combination of blacks, greys, whites, browns, and tans
