Intro Color Terms

What is hue? Whe name given to a colr
What does intensity mean? The brightness or dullness of a color
What are the three components of the color wheel? Primary, Secondary, Intermediat (Tertiary)
How do you make primary colors? You cannot achieve these colors from mixing other colors together.
How do you make tertiary/intermediate colors? When you mix equal parts of primary and secondary colors
What does the word tint mean? A value lighter than that on the color wheel
What does the word shade mean? A value darker than that on a color wheel
What colors are on each side of the color Blue on the color wheel? Blue-violet and blue-green
What colors are on each side of the color yellow on the color wheel? Yellow-orange and yellow-green
What colors are on each side of the color Red on the color wheel? Red-orange and red-violet
How do you make secondary colors? By mixing equal parts of orimary colors together
What color is added to create a tint? White
What are the secondary colors? Violet, green, orange
What are the tertiary colors? red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, red-orange
How do you make primary colors? You cannot achieve these colors from mixing other colors together.

What does a Complimentart Harmony Scheme mean? 2 colors that are directly acriss from each other on the color wheel
What does a Analogous Harmony/Scheme mean? 3 or mors colors next to each other on the color wheel

How many colors from the color wheel are represented in a Complimentary Harmony/Scheme? 12
