What is a hue? color
What does intensity mean? The strength or sharpness of a color due esp. to its degree of freedom from admixture with its complementary color.
What are the three components of the color wheel? primary colors, secondary colors, and tertiary colors
What are the primary colors? red, blue, and yellow
How do you make secondary colors? by mixing together to of the primary colors
What are the tertiary colors? red-violet, red-orange, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-orange, and yellow-green
How do you make primary colors? you cannot mkae them. you don't mix other colors to get them
How do you make tertiary/intermediate colors? mix the primary colors and the secondary colors
What does the word tint mean? saturated color that is mixed with a pure white color
What does the word shade mean? saturated color that is mixed with pure black color
What color is added to create a tint? white
What color is added to create a shade? black
What does a Monochromatic Harmony/Scheme mean? tints and shades of only one color
What does a Complimentary Harmony/Scheme mean? two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel
What does a Analogous Harmony/Scheme mean? uses three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
How many colors from the color wheel are represented in a Monochromatic Harmony/Scheme? 1
How many colors from the color wheel are represented in a Complimentary Harmony/Scheme? 2
