Inro Color Terms

What are the primary colors? red blue and yellow
What is hue? The name given to a color
What is a color wheel? Shows how colors are related to eachother
What is intensity? The brightness or dullness of a color
What are the secondary colors? violet green and orange
What are intermediate or tertiary colors? when you mix equal parts of 1 primary & 1 secondary color
What is tint? a value lighter than that on the color wheel
What is shade? a value darker than that on a color wheel
what are the 3 color schemes? monochromatic,complimentary,& analogous
what is monochromatic? 1 hue with different tints and shades
what is complimentary? 2 colors that are directly across from eachother on the color wheel
what is analogous? 3 or more colors next to each other on the color wheel
what are three types of colors? warm colors,neutral colors, and cool colors
what are the 5 basic skin tones? black,red-brown,yellow-brown,yellow, and white
what are the 4 main hair colors? blond,red,brunette,& black
what are the 7 main eye colors? black, blue violet, blue, grey, green, hazel and brown
what are the 6 different body shapes? triangle,inverted triangle,rectangle,hourglass,diamond,rounded
what are the intermediate colors? red-violet, blu-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow-orange, red-orange
what color do you use to tint? white
what color do you use to shade? black
what are the three warm colors? red, orange, and yellow
what are the three cool colors? blue, violet, green
what are the three neutral colors? white, brown, tan
what body shape do colors do dull and light colors make? it makes your body larger
