what does intensity mean? the brightness or dullness of a color
What are the three components of the color wheel? Primary, Secondary, Intermediate or Tertiary
What are primary colors? blue, red, yellow
What are secondary colors? violet, green, orange
What are tertiary colors? red-violet,blue-violet,blue-green,yellow-green,yellow-orange,red-orange
How do you make primary colors? you cannot mix any other colors to make primary colors
How do you make secondary colors? You make three colors by mixing two primary colors
How do you make intermediate colors? when you mix one primary and one secondary color
What does the word tint mean? a color lighter than on the color wheel
What does the word shade mean? a color darker than on the color wheel
What color is added to create a tint? white
What color is added to create a shade? black
What does a Monochromatic harmony/scheme mean? one color with different shades and tints
What does a Complimentary harmony/scheme mean? two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel
What does a Analogous harmony/scheme mean? three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
