| Storage Device | records and retrieves items to and from storage media. |
| Communications Device | hardware components that enables a computer to send and retrieve data, instruction and information. |

| Software | series of instructions that tells a computer what to do and how to do it. |

| Super Computer | fastest, most powerful, and most expensive computer, capable of processing more that 135 trillion instructions a single second. |
| Embedded Computer | a special-purpose computer that functions as a component in a larger product. |
| Tellercommuting | work arrangment in which employees work away from a company's standard work place and often communicating with the office with a computer. |
