Creative Play | 4-7yrs | Engages in sensory,motor, cognitive & social play in which relevant skills are refined. Explores combos of actions on mult. objs. Beginning of mastery skills that promote performance of school/work related acts. Participation in cooperative peer groups. |
Games | 7-12 yrs | Participation in play w/rules,competition,social interaction/opportunities 4 develop. of skills. Begins 2 participate in coop. peer groups w/interest in competition. Friends importnt 4 validation of play items/performnce, parent validate when peers absent |
Exploratory Play | 0-2yrs | Child engages in play through which they develop body scheme. SI/motor skills also developed as child explores properties/effects of actions on obj/people. Plays mostly w/parent & caregiver. |
