CSU Allen Levels

QuestionAnswer
Level 2 Postural Actions Movement is based on proprioceptive and vestibular systems and comfort. May roll, sit and/or walk
Level 3 Manual Actions Uses hands to manipulate objects. May use familiar objects in a familiar way, but actions are not effecive for completing a task
Level 4 Goal Directed Actions Completes simple, familiar tasks and routines but does not solve problems effectively
Level 5 Exploratory Actions Initiates new learning. Can correct many errors after they are made.
Level 6 Planned Actions Thinks through hypothetical situations. Can imagine possible errors and prevent them.
Level 1 Automatic Actions Responses to stimuli are primarily reflexive.
