| Plug-In | Program that extends the capability of a browser; often used to enhance multimedia |
| Portal | Web site that offers a variety of Internet services from a single, convenient location |
| RSS | (2.0) Specification that content aggregators use to distribute content to subscribers; also known as "Really Simple Syndication" |
| Search Engine | Program that finds Web sites, Web pages, images, videos, news and other information related to a specific topic |
| Streaming | Process of transferring data in a continuous and even flow |
| Uploading | Process of transferring documents, graphics and other objects from a computer to a sever on the Internet |
| URL | Unique address for a Web page |
| VOIP | Technology that allows users to speak to other users over the Internet |
| Web 2.0 | refers to Web sites that allow users to modify Web Site content |
| Web Browser | App software that allows users to access and view web pages |
| Wi-Fi | A broadband Internet connection that uses radio signals |
| Wiki | Collaborative Web site that allows users to create, add to, modify, or delete the Web site content via their Web browser |
