Common terms used in web sites

Site information on the internet in a specific area (can be news, business, education,...)
Blog an on-line journal where people can post entries about their personal experiences and/or hobbies
Page a part of a website that connects to a new area on that website
Link an instruction that connects one part of a program to another program (page or site)
Post to put something up on the internet for everyone to see; words, pictures, videos...
URL a website's address (uniform resource locator)
Sidebar a section listing the website's pages, and it is located to the left or right side of the Home page
image a picture or photograph that is often inserted or posted on a website
Comment a written explanation or criticism that is added to a site, usually one's opinion
HTML the programming code or language written to make a web site (hyper text markup language)
