What is Marketing? Marketing is the activity, set of institutions and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners and society at large.
1st Rule of Marketing Know the consumer's desire.
2nd Rule of Marketing Behave for profit in mid - long term
3rd Rule of Marketing The firm and market are an "integrated system"
What is strategic marketing composed of? Consumer behavior, segmentation, targeting, positioning, competitive advantage. (the marketing plan)
What is operative marketing composed of? The marketing mix (product, promotion,place, price)
