vital capacity max volume that can be exhaled. TV+IRV+ERV
total lung capacity total volume of air that the lungs can hold. VC+RV
partial pressure amount of pressure each gas contributes
oxyhemoglobin hemoglobin that is combined with oxygen
bicarbonate transportation of CO2
